Rod Farmer has recently co-founded a new company, Mobile Experience, and is Director of Strategy & Research. He is passionate about mobile user experience, and has driven some of Australia's most successful and acclaimed mobile products and services. Rod was recently featured in Desktop Magazine as one of Australia's leading mobile innovators, and is a frequent industry speaker on mobile research, strategy and design.

In his previous role, Rod was Senior Manager, Experience Strategy for Vodafone Hutchison Australia where he was responsible for leading the company’s User Experience strategy for Online and Mobile platforms and services. His career in User Experience spans 12 years, where he has led product design across mobile, online and enterprise environments. Rod’s consulting experiences span E-Commerce, Defence, Telecommunications, Education, Healthcare and Digital Media.  He holds a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Melbourne.
