Wireframes - From Screen Concepts to User Interaction

Mia will discuss an approach to take Wireframes (screen concepts) and use information architecture principals to move them a step further to display the user interaction and develop user scenarios to build a prototype that reflects what users' need and how they want to interact with the web. Mia will explain how this approach will help designers and programmers to gain a better insight into how the system will work and communicate the understanding of user needs to both users and the business.

  • Difficulty: General
  • Prerequisites: Interest in and respect for, UX.
  • Session Track: UX Design

Session Detail

Wireframes as screen concepts are often driven by the “as is” process and may follow an atomic representation of the web site. When designers and programmers need to understand how the screen will work and what it will look like, this process driven approach doesn’t always translate into a useable, interactive system for users.
