The Value of a Rubber Chicken: better team development through shame... and tools!

As teams grow, they need better processes to keep things going smoothly.  Of course there are tools to help with this; peer code review, source analysis and reporting, continuous integration and so on.  But don't underestimate the value of good old fashioned guilt and shame!  Wall boards, rubber chickens, stockades in public places all let developers know that keeping the release on track and bug free are serious business.

Session Detail

This session will explore a number of tools and techniques that successful companies like yours (not yours, but successful companies *like* yours) have used to great effect.  We'll consider  distributed version control systems, code review and analysis, the latest in build management, issue tracking, and feature planning: everything you need to have a more effective software development team.  Oh, and of course, threats and humiliation.
