The Hotness of Agile Software Development

There’s been a lot of chatter about agile software development recently. Some say that it’s little more than cowboy coding. Some say that it means no documentation. Some say it’s the silver bullet that projects need to stop wasting time and budget blowouts. Some claim “it’s just RUP and, oh, we did that before and it didn’t work”. Unfortunately, they’re missing the point.

  • Difficulty: General
  • Session Track: Safe for Managers

Session Detail

Matthew will reveal the truth of agile and why it’s the hottest project methodology around. He’ll dispel agile myths, explain the essence of agile and its zen-like philosophy – from the concepts of Kanban and ‘pairing’ through to prioritisation techniques of requirements from a users’ perspective, rather than systems or even client perspective. Matthew will also cover the new agile project roles and explain why your user-experience designer is likely your best asset.
