In this session, Appland's head honcho Dale Rankine will lead you through a case study of their first year - looking at topics such as development methodologies, targeting devices/platforms/customers, team development and recruiting, skills mix, and how to keep smiling through it all.

Dale has been a part of the Australian digital industry for over 14 years as a designer, developer, manager, entrepreneur, trainer and evangelist. He is recognised globally as a specialist in product design and marketing, user experience and strategy for the mobile platform, and has been a regular speaker and trainer at events around the world for the likes of Adobe, Vodafone and Nokia. He has also been a regular contributor to the developer and UX community as author and presenter of numerous articles and training videos.
