AJAX with Google Web Toolkit

We all have seen the power of AJAX in new web applications. However, the very simplicity and flexibility that makes Javascipt attractive for small amounts of code can make it unwieldy and awkward for large amounts of code. Large AJAX applications are often tedious to write and quirky on different browsers. This session will discuss how Google Web Toolkit allows developers to build AJAX apps with Java.

  • Difficulty: Fundamental
  • Prerequisites: Familiarity with AJAX is a plus.
  • Session Track: Frameworks,Javascript,Java,Google

Session Detail

Java means that with Google Web Toolkit, you can use your favorite IDE, Java libraries, and can even use a debugger to step through your code. We'll then discuss how Google Web Toolkit takes the Java you've written to produce fast, efficient AJAX apps.
