A practical guide to connecting hardware to Flex

This session will look at the revolution in low cost easy to program embedded computing. We will focus on the arduino open source hardware and software platform and zigbee network modules and how both of these can be easily connected up to Flex.

  • Difficulty: Experienced
  • Prerequisites: Got to be interested in Electronics, Open Source and Flex/Actionscript.
  • Session Track: Flash,Flex,Safe for Managers

Session Detail

Topics covered range from digital and analogue input and output to more advanced topics of graphing and wireless communication.

Session will include code samples and demos and show that it's far easier than you realise to interface Flex with hardware. Code will be made freely available to all people who attend the session.
