A straightforward example application will be used to exhibit how to build an application using Yahoo! APIs in both legacy ActionScript 2, as well as next-generation ActionScript 3.

  • Difficulty: Experienced
  • Prerequisites: No advanced knowledge is required, although we will touch on advanced programming techniques (e.g. E4X)
  • Session Track: Flex

Session Detail

This example application will demonstrate how to easily extend existing rich internet experiences in order to incorporate Yahoo! services, while adhering to sound object oriented principles and industry accepted best practices. For a special treat, I will introduce some prerelease services to session attendees.
