XD: Adobe’s Approach to Application Design

Through the process of designing desktop applications, web experiences, and rich Internet applications (RIAs), Adobe has developed an approach to application design that can be leveraged by designers and developers to drastically improve the experience users have with their applications. We’ll provide an introduction to our approach along with case studies revealing some of the guidelines, principals, and patterns that feed our process.

A veteran of the digital media industry, Simon has produced interactive content for CD Rom, Web, DVD and most recently Rich Internet applications. His knowledge of interactive systems and human-computer interaction has been applied to applications and 'interactives' for government agencies in three countries and corporate entities globally. Lecturing at several tertiary institutions across Australia, Simon is a keen player in the instruction and tutoring of the next generation of interactive designers. More...
