Flash Video Capering

Flash video is quickly becoming not only just plain popular, but is actually a great medium for getting video up onto the web or CD with little hassle. Being that flash is almost on all computers (PC and MAC) there is the convinience that you most likely would not need to make your clients download some plugin just to see the video.

Session Detail

We all know that web video on it's own is possible with a lot of different types of plugins. Windows media and quicktime are two that come to mind right away, but when you want to add a little interaction with the video, Flash is definitely the way to go.

The one thing that people do get a little confused with in the beginning is how to get the video into flash and make it a bit interactive, and that's what we are going to cover in this session. Be prepared to learn how to take a video and find out the differences in how to compress with what software, then get it up onto your web page. Not only that, we will be deconstructing a video project that I did a while back on spoofing one of Macromedia's video banners on the main site. This will entail covering some of the mistakes and blunders I made during the creation, along with better practices when it comes to creating video that is destined for the web using flash.
