Come Out and Play: Flash-Based Ambient Media

Ambient media refers to any non-traditional out-of-home medium, but specifically includes media designed to reach audiences close to the point of purchase. Ambient media ranges from street vision, mobile media, venue advertising, washroom advertising and small screen advertising such as ATM and CCTV. Ambient media is more likely to use guerrilla tactics.

Session Detail

First we had Central, where Flash was unshackled from the constraints of the browser. In a natural progression in the evolution of Flash, we're now seeing it leave the confines of traditional viewing environments (i.e. home/office/school) and moving into more "public" arenas (such as shopping malls, restaurants and even motor vehicles).

During this session, RocketBoots Partners Andrew Muller and Matt Voerman, delve into real world examples of flash-based ambient media and discuss best practice strategies for developing for this exciting new environment.
