Blackstone Event Gateways
ColdFusion has long been the easiest way to create applications that respond to Web requests from web browsers. Blackstone, the next major versions of ColdFusion, opens up a whole new world of applications that can respond to events and messages from everything from Instant Messaging (such as XMPP/Jabber and Lotus Sametime) to mobile phone SMS text messages, to Internet socket requests, to system events, and much much more. In this session you'll learn how easy it is to write your own event and messaging apps, understand what's happening behind the scenes, and get a first-hand look at the new ColdFusion Java Event Gateway API, used to create pluggable ColdFusion Event Gateways for CFML developers.
