Although most people recognize the security threat that exists to servers on the Internet, not many applications undergo a security audit prior to making them publicly available. This session will look at some techniques that can be used to compromise an insecure application, and the counter measures that can be employed to eliminate or reduce the impact of the threat that these techniques can pose. The session will cover ColdFusion Server settings, ColdFusion code, operating system settings, and webserver settings. It should provide the attendees with enough information to improve the security of existing applications and to build more secure applications in the future.
